Overall, I enjoyed this first peer review because it allowed me to get more comfortable with a new student in my class and give/receive good feedback on our drafts. Specific feedback I got were things that talked about my flow and how I can add/replace things to make my essay seem more smooth. for example, I said at the beginning that “social media needs to be cut down” to “social media needs to be used more appropriately” so I should pick one of the two so it would make more sense. What helped the most in this process was that I got told the truth about what’s good and bad so I can make my essay better. What helped me from reading my peers writing was that it gave me examples of how to structure my own essay and gave me some ideas on what I could talk about. The biggest challenge for me was giving. good advice without sounding micromanaging or rude. Next time I will have a better idea on what I should be looking for in my peer’s essay and what to give advice on. Overall, everything went really well and I’m excited for many more in the future.
